Directions to Downe Campsite
Address: Downe Activity Centre, Birdhouse Lane, Downe, Orpington, Kent, BR6 7LJ
From Orpington War memorial, go along Sevenoaks Road, past Orpington Hospital on your left, towards Green Street Green. Before Green Street Green, at the roundabout with Glentrammon Road on your left, turn right into Farnborough Hill. Go past the bus station on your left.
At the next roundabout, take the second exit, continuing along Farnborough Hill, and crossing the A21.
Take the first left, Shire Lane, signposted High Elms. Soon after the entrance to High Elms, turn right into High Elms Road. You will pass the High Elms car parks and golf club on your left. When you get to Downe village, turn right at the T-junction, then left into Luxted Road.
Follow Luxted Road past Down House. After about 1km, the road turns left by a group of houses and a phone box. There are often vehicles parked there, which may obscure the large wooden sign pointing to the camp site. You need to turn right, into Birdhouse Lane. Follow the lane down the hill and up the other side. You will see the entrance to the car park on your left. Please follow the one way signs.
