A bit about us...
We meet at St John’s United Reformed Church, Orpington, but we welcome girls of any faith. We are members of Girlguiding UK, the largest voluntary organisation for women and girls in the country. There are Guides and Girl Scouts all over the world.

The Guide Promise
I promise that I will do my best;
to love my God,
to serve the Queen and my country,
to help other people
and to keep the Guide Law.
The Promise underpins all we do, so we hope that Guides will make their Promise at some point, but it involves a lot of thought and commitment, so it is up to each girl to decide when she is ready. She can be a full member of the unit without making her Promise at all.
The Guide Law
- A Guide is honest, reliable and can be trusted.
- A Guide is helpful and uses her time and abilities wisely.
- A Guide faces challenge and learns from her experiences.
- A Guide is a good friend and a sister to all Guides.
- A Guide is polite and considerate.
- A Guide respects all living things and takes care of the world around her.
The Unit Guidelines
Every Unit has a set of Guidelines which all the Guides and Leaders sign. Ours are based on the Guide Law. Our guidelines can be seen here.
